Greek Instructor Wanted

Short-term Missionary Teaching Opportunity in Europe

Summer 2024

Tyndale Theological Seminary, located near Amsterdam in the Netherlands, is seeking a qualified visiting instructor for an intensive Elementary Greek course in the summer of 2024.

The course runs for eight weeks, Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, and is scheduled for July 1–August 22, 2024. This course is designed to be equivalent to two semesters (the first year) of a typical seminary Elementary Greek program. It is worth 8 credits on the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).

Tyndale Theological Seminary is an evangelical, interdenominational, international, English-speaking seminary with students from all over the world—especially from Africa and Asia, but also from Europe and North and South America. All of Tyndale’s full-time faculty members are missionaries who raise their own financial support.

Visiting faculty who come to teach at Tyndale are provided room and board for the duration of the course, but they are asked to raise the funds needed for airfare to and from the Netherlands, as well as their daily spending money. The instructor of Elementary Greek will be provided with sample syllabi and other resources used in this course in previous years.

The ideal candidate would be a spiritually mature Christian who holds a PhD or is working toward a PhD in New Testament studies, has experience teaching biblical Greek, and has cross-cultural ministry experience. Candidates must be in essential agreement with Tyndale’s doctrinal statement (https://tyndale-europe.edu/about-tyndale/what-we-believe). If interested, please send your CV and three references (give title, name, and email address) to Tyndale’s Academic Dean, Dr. Rob MacEwen, RMacEwen@tyndale-europe.edu.
